I'm a YA author living in Los Angeles and In Your Room is my debut novel.

I grew up in Montreal, but cannot believe that I have now been away for as long as I lived there. WEIRD.

I love to travel and have visited many different places and cultures. Between living in Montreal and LA I have also lived in Boston (well, Cambridge), where I got my undergraduate degree in British History and Literature at Harvard; India (various parts in the North), where I escaped for a semester during my junior year in college; New York City, to work for a brief stint in journalism; England, to get my masters degree in English Studies at Oxford.

Once upon a time I was a national junior and intercollegiate squash champion (four times, to be exact, in Canada and the United States), and I played on the pro tour after college (yes, one does exist). New Zealand, Sweden, Israel, and Barbados are some of the countries I competed in.

I love my dog (Rocky, pictured right) and anyone who knows me knows this fact.

I recently bought a brand new bike and plan to use it all the time in the interest of rediscovering the amazing city of Los Angeles while on two wheels.

I was a film executive in Hollywood for the years between being a grad student and being a full-time writer (that's eleven years for those who don't want to do the math).

I have a husband whom I adore even more than our dog.

I hope to add a rescued cat to the members of our household one day soon.

And a whole lot else that will have to wait for future blog entries.

Thanks so much for visiting my website and I hope you'll come back often.
